ROLEX, REF 6200, EXPLORER DIAL Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Submariner, No. 32257, Ref. 6200. Made circa 1954. Fine and very rare, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel diver's wristwatch with bi-directional revolving black bezel, large 8 mm.winding crown and a stainless steel Rolex Oyster riveted bracelet.
Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, graduated bi-directional revolving black bezel for the decompression times. D. Black with luminous Arabic numerals and baton indexes, outer minute/seconds track. Luminous yellow skeleton hands. M. Cal. A 296, rhodium-plated, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring.

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 38 mm. THICKNESS 13 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm. There is no doubt that the reference 6200, remains one of the most elusive and collectible big crown Submariners. Rarer than both its counterparts references 5510 and 6538, featuring an extremely attractive Explorer style, this watch will always remain one of the holy grails for Rolex collectors.
